Just a 15-minute drive from Ullapool, Clachan Garden is perfectly placed for exploring one of the most vibrant villages in the North Coast 500. Ullapool is a busy ferry port connecting mainland Scotland with the Outer Hebrides, making it an ideal base for day trips during the summer months.

Visitors to Ullapool will find a wide range of activities in the surrounding Scottish Highlands, from scenic sightseeing and coastal walks to climbing, kayaking, cycling and wild swimming. Seasonal pursuits such as fishing and shooting are also available in the area at certain times of the year.

The village itself offers plenty to enjoy, including a theatre and leisure centre, a variety of cafés and restaurants, and excellent local dining such as the award-winning The Dipping Lugger. During the summer season, wildlife boat trips run daily aboard the Summer Queen, offering the chance to see local seabirds, seals and other marine life.

Bicycle hire is available in the village, with knowledgeable local guides to help you explore the spectacular surrounding landscape. Ullapool also has a thriving arts scene, with opportunities to take creative courses at Bridgehouse Art and visit several local galleries showcasing work inspired by the beauty of the Highlands.
